Restaurateur and culinary author Russell Norman has joined Esquire magazine as its Reluctant Cook, taking over from chef and food writer Mark Hix, and will contribute recipes and ideas each month intended to be 'simple to prepare, and a joy to eat'.

Norman commented 'When the editor-in-chief of the world's leading men's style magazine asks you to write a food column, you don't say no. I couldn't be happier (or more enthusiastic) to be the Reluctant Cook for Esquire'. His first column appears in the June 2015 issue.
